City Stories

City Stories is a hands-on documentary filmmaking program where students work in crews to tell real stories from their communities. Using professional cameras, sound, and editing tools, students research, film, and edit short documentaries—building empathy, collaboration, media literacy, and an understanding of real production workflows from story discovery through public screening.

TIMELINE
6 weeks · 3 sessions per week · Project-based workflow from concept to screening.

  • 3–5 minute short documentary

  • Behind-the-scenes photo/video content
